Family tax A - $313.88
Family tax B - $133.56

I only have one child and get $241 for both parts combined, and wasn't sure what it was for a second child. I've had people say it's like having wages when you have more than one child :laughing:

Yeah the money is certainly a lot better when you have 2. Hardly enough for someone to go and have a second child for though.

Add to that a full pension plus full rent assistance and it is a decent wage - enough to get by on - it will never be enough for me though as I am so used to having money to burn. By the time I pay my bills and food there literally is nothing left over. Not receiving child support doesn't help.

My mum looked after DD for a week, so I worked full time and had no childcare fees. Right before Christmas too so that was handy! Got over $800 gross for that one week, the following week I only worked 3 days, did not work Christmas eve, and didn't work Christmas day. With that fortnight of work I got no PPS but who cares when you have that much money coming in. That's still with getting full FTB. I don't get Rent Assistance or Child Support.

I would think that having another child would mean another mouth to feed, another child to pay childcare fees for if you do want to work, not to mention another child to try and find care for in the first place, making it harder to work at all.

Yeah it helps you get by but not enough for any real added expenses iykwim !

Like for instance after the computer dying a few months ago, the t.v died at Christmas & now our air-con kicking the bucket I can't just run out & grab what I want !!!

It just means that I can afford to have Boof in Kindy ( I don't get a huge discount cause the centre is occasional care ) 3 days p/w, still pay bills & afford to pay some money on the mortgage ... I wouldn't be able to survive paying rent & bills here in Syd !!!
