My DD is 8 weeks and wanted a bottle so i made her one and she only drank 40 ml of the 200ml, can i reheat this when she wants more? i had heated the water and then added formula (if this makes a difference).
I would say yes, we were able to at work (daycare) and i did it for my son, but only the once, if he doesnt drink it again tip it out.
And IMO the way you add the formula does matter, but thats just me :)

i did try her on a new formula before, could she just prefer that one?
If you put it in the fridge I would say reheat it but if it was left out I wouldn't.

Could be, my DS would guzzle s26 but would flat out refuse Nan. See how she goes, she just might not be hungry

Just keep trying, she will eat if she is hungry. Sorry :( just keep trying :)
Apparently it's not meant to be re-heated but we always did but only once. I'd make it up heated and then put the remaining formula in the fridge and re-heat it when needed but only once. I have been told that you really shouldn't especially if it has already been in a bottle you have fed the baby. DS never had any problems but he never had formula until he was 10 months old.. maybe with such a little one you should be a bit more careful?
As for the crying as if she is hungry... she most likely is but is too tired to feed properly, I'd rock her to sleep, personally and then when she wakes she should have a decent feed. I feel your pain... I can remember nights like that as though they were yesterday :hugs: Just remember, there is only so much you can do and if you've tried everything and she's still crying, just do what you feel comfortable with and try to comfort her. Sometimes they just get overtired and cry.

I was always told not to give formula after an hour when they've drunk from the bottle already, something to do with germs maybe or leaving it out too long? But I'm not that cautious anymore, I'll give the rest, I don't even re-heat it, just put the lid back on and he wants it within an hour or so anyway.
You could maybe put it in a new bottle, store it in the fridge and then re-heat, I think that would be the safest bet??
The crying and not wanting to drink could be the new formula (adjusting to the taste?) wind, reflux? Poor bubba, I usually put ds to sleep as best I can, rock him, take him for a drive to distract him and when he's settled and calm, he'll usually take the bottle again.

I ended up putting DD to sleep and she slept for another 4 hours before wanting the bottle, I think she was just very overtired.

I say yes & do reheat formula. If they dont drink it, it goes back in the fridge untill they want it & than reheated. I dont leave it out of the fridge for more than an hour.
DS's formula curdles & separates, quite grose if its left out.
