People Who Use Terry Flats At Night

Question for the terry flat users, do you use terry flats at night? I use BBH fitteds but the fit on DS2 is not that great at the moment, I guess it's his body shape since it's changed lately.

If you do use terry at night how do you boost it or what fold do you use? I have tried using terrys at night but by 4am DS2 is soaked through. He sleeps from 6.30pm to 4am before waking up for a feed.

It's been a long time since we've used nappies, but I used to put 2 together then fold the normal way. I'd change her around 11:30-ish before going to bed, though. She'd sleep from 6pm to 6am and I found once I started changing her before I went to bed (she didn't wake for the nappy change, I'd do it in the bed) she dropped the 2am feed. I think she was waking from discomfort more than hunger.

When I had my kids in terry flats (they are 5 and 7 now), at night they just soaked the nappy. They wore a pilcher over it in Melbourne (cold) but when we were in Darwin (we didn't have aircon so it was always hot) they just had the nappy. They both slept through from a young age and would wake up very wet, sometimes the top of their pants and bottom of their top (in melbourne, never wore pjs in Darwin) would be wet too. I don't think it did them any damage tho :)

This time around I'll use bamboo prefolds with wool cover or an AIO with a booster, if I get really slack I'll prob just use a disposable at night. We were too poor back then haha!

could you fold the terry flat with the BBH inserts (that you snap into the nappy iykwim) inside the terry flat and then use a wool cover with nothing over the top?

If bubs is still feeding at 4, I don't reckon you could get through the WHOLE night in a terry flat.. but that's just my opinion..

ps you could always boost with BBH fold up as well

I'd try this. I think the boosters are pretty cheap, otherwise you could buy some small prefolds and boost with those. And wool is meant to be pretty good for nights.
