hi there:wave:
Im expecting #2 in May and we currently live in Nth Qld but im keen to move south either Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast...

It is too hot here, too boring and too far away from friends and family...

Plus i need to be near the city for shopping lol and the beach so SC and GC seem good options!

DH knows i want to move, we have lived here for 3 years to be near his extended family who we never see and im 2000kms away from mine...

He works in Sales and has done for 2 years but i know he is reluctant to give it up after working so hard... the other thing is he works 65hrs a week and it drives me mental having no other support here and with #2 coming will make it harder...

We have moved interstate before but not with 2 kids and no jobs..we only rent here so mortgage isnt an issue but i guess my question is how do you feasably do it? We may be able to stay with relos in Brissy for a bit but should we get a job first? Are just crazy to want to uproot? not that we have much here anyway...

I would probably get a job first... unless you have life savings that you will be able to live off. Is it possible for your DH to move within the industry, or someone he knows down here?

To move your stuff down I would also call around and see if you can get a backload with a removalist from wherever you are moving to. Although, they have cottoned on and they are not that much cheaper anyway.

We are uprooting soon, although DH jumped at the chance of the move (we are going to SCoast) when his work was expanding to up there. There isn't really anything to keep us here and we just thought why not?!

Good luck!

Thanks Mum23girls:)

I dont think Dh could get a transfer and his work is like a franchise (car dealership) but if he really wanted to he could probably enquire with the businesses down there but if he isnt really motivated then he wont, im still trying to get him to be keen to move iykwim...we would do what we did last time and put our things in storage, i was considering when DH takes his months holidays of moving then as he would still get paid for a month... but with 2 kids im reluctant to not have a job lined up... we would get our bond from here and have some $$ but not alot would need it for the furniture...

We used Ballina removals last time and they were good and not too $$$...

Ohhh so he is a car sales man? I know of a luxury car yard opening up on the Sunshine coast in the next few months. ;);) My DH will be the service manager up there.
