Looking for OB in or around Ryde

Hi I had first child at Westmead private, was not happy with my OB :mad: , she was always very busy, very cold and i had the most complicated and long labour.. she didnt come until the end and decided i needed an emergeny Csection. So now i want a OB someone can recommend... calming, patient and friendly. :o

My OB was Dr Chris Hunter who works out of North Shore Private - he was very thorough, and reassuring. I would attend my appointments with a head full of questions and leave feeling so confident and calm. As it happened, my OB was away the day I went into labour, and Dr Gil Burton stood in - I had a long, hard labour which resulted in a C-Section. Dr Burton was equally as good as Dr Hunter.

Hi - the choice of OB will also depend on which hospital were you looking to go to? Some only practise at particular ones......

I had the most wonderful OB I have encountered. Dr Geoffrey Breiger . I taught his daughter in 6th grade and 5 other mums in my mothers group also had him and would return at a pinch for their subsequent children.
He was just the most practical and calm man - coupled with a good sense of humour which I found was really helpful:) We had difficulties post birth with our little one ( no fault of his) and he was just so genuinely interested and helpful - even after his"job" was done so to speak.

He delivers at Royal North Shore and the Mater

My first was delivered by Dr Vijay Roach, who works at North Shore Private. He has an excellent bedside manner too.

And another fantastic ob I would recommend who i went to is Dr Rod Baber who has his rooms too at North Shore Private. My mother is a midwife there and highly recommends him and the other obs (Hunter, Burton, Roach, Brieger) that were mentioned too.

And just to add too.....North Shore Private is a lovely hospital too!!
