Hi Ladies
Congradulations on your pregnancies!!!
I am a midwifery student currently studying in Adelaide. One of the requirements of the course is that we "follow through" a number of women throughout their pregnancy (become someone the woman can trust, attend antenatal appointments, I can also be your own private medical investigator and research absolutely anything about your pregnancy if you want me to), birth (most of you will not know the midwife who is on duty when you go into labour, the women that I have been involved with have found comfort having me at the birth as I am a familiar face to them and I can explain what is happening to them) and last but not least the post natal period (this involves me being a friend to the mother, someone they can talk to about what they are experiencing as a new mum).
