Hi. I was wanting to get a play pen. The type that you can add extensions to. I was looking for something that was about 1.8mx1.8m. I know you can get them from Baby Bunting but I just wanted to see if I could get them anywhere else. Does anyone know where I could get one?

Thanks.

I bought a 1mx1m plastic type one from Baby on a Budget (WA), but they did also have the larger size there. It was similar to this one: http://www.babyonabudget.com.au/more_info.asp?prd=769 I choose the plastic as it seemed a bit heavier and more stable than the wooden, and also because I used it outside sometimes and would forget to bring it in.

I see on their website they also have a large wooden hexagonal one. Browse under "safety".

Playpens often have limited life times - as bub gets more mobile they're less and less happy in them. We only used ours for around 4 months, and most of that I was really only using 2 sides of it to keep DD away from the fireplace so she could still explore and wasn't frustrated. So it may be worth looking around for a 2nd hand one.

you could look on ebay. There's usually a few on there - with pictures, so you can see what they look like. We're looking for something similar, but actually for our older boy - to keep the baby out of his lego and other tiny toys. I'd love to hear if anyone had some ideas.
good luck.

Hi,

We brought a playpen the big one for about $140 and have never used it except to contain the toy mess for a while. My husband even built a gate in it so I might use it and the girls could just go in and out as needed I might ask him if we can sell it if you are interested? We brought it a year ago.
