Add your name if you are a Brisbane Defence wife, I would like to some day have a get together.
Evie, mum to DD3, TTC no 2, partner in Army, away 9 months a year would love some new contacts outside of my normal contacts (does this make sense!!)
Oh and my DP is off to Afghanistan for seven months in January, so really will be needing some extra friends to keep me occupied!
So what about you! Add your name to the list!

Oh Sharon, my thoughts go out to you and your family. My DP leaves in Jan/Feb for six or seven months and my heart is almost breaking already!
I think I am used to the idea now. He has been in Darwin since April pre-deployment training. He's on his pre-deployment leave now. I'm cranky because they were meant to be here until Aug 22nd & they were leaving from Afghanistan from here. Now they have to finish their training in Darwin (leaving here on 5th Aug). They arent sure whether they will get to come back to Brisbane before they will deploy but I'm assuming he wont. Then when he gets back next March, he has to stay in Darwin for an extra couple of weeks so he can take meds etc.. I would go to Darwin to see him but with no family around to look after DS, it makes it a little hard. It sort of makes a 6 month deployment into a 8 month deployment. I just want him to hurry up and go so he can hurry up & come home!
