For the mums who give their bubs toast & vegemite, do you butter the toast as well?

I put a tiny scraping of unsalted butter on the dude's toast. But really only a tiny bit... I couldn't eat straight vegemite on toast :laughing:.

If you dont want to use butter maybe you could try avocado and vegemite.

nope i dont coz ds is lactose intolerant and cant handle even the slightest bit of dairy or soy. he would live on vegimite if i let him lol

Yep! In some baby recipes, butter and olive oil are used so I don't see why a little butter would hurt DS. Babies need fat so it should be okay. I just put a little bit. Sometimes I top the butter and vegemite with grated cheese as well. DS loves it!!! :)

I couldnt face just vegemite, so i put just a tiny bit of butter on as well.

After seeing this thread I just had to have vegemite and butter on toast. Yummo!!!
And yes I do put a bit of butter on his toast.

count me in. just a bit of butter. just as an added extra, i don't add butter to peanut butter.
