I'm going on holidays to Brisbane ;)

Do you know of any area that has a rooly fun children's park with a fence around it?

I have friends on the north and south side so not fussed about location. And I also have transport

Thanks :D

there is a huge park at chermside called kidspace. its not fenced but honestly i dont think it needs to be. there is so much for children to do there and the adults tend to generally play as well with the kids. its a great playground to say the least with lots to do. also right next to shopping centre so you can do a bit of shopping as well :D

How old Lozza? My 3yo DD loves the one on Maundrell Terrace at Aspley (John Goss Reserve - 3/4 fenced) and it's good for olderish kids (my 18mo doesn't get as much out of it)

Will think about others, but most of the ones I know aren't fenced (there's a FANTATSIC one in near St Lucia at Toowong - (?Campbell Street - or just across the road from it)

I know it's not Brisbane but at Broadbeach down the coast there is an awesome on on the waterfront, well worth a day down the coast

I believe there is one at Roma Park? Someone else will know.. I think someone may have mentioned it to me but I've not been there.

People always want to meet up at South Bank but so far as I know there's no fenced area (should be though) but it *is* a great area to go to for kids, somewhere you prob should check out.

The Toowong one would be wondrful then, but not fenced, so doesn't help you (and while it's not on a busy street, it's huge, so you don't want to be chasing her down!)

John Goss might still be worth a look - Mitchell was 1 when we last took him, so 7 months might make the difference?? There's also a really good one out at Redcliffe next to the lagoon, but not fenced either (M had a ball there today)

I 2nd the indoor ones at Lawnton/Strathpine, or over on the Southside (well more west, but south of the river) there's a good one a Jindalee

Roma Street one isn't fenced either, but it's hilly, so that may stop her getting away lol. It's good though for toddlers

There are two I know of in the inner city suburbs. Both are fully fenced.

One is Neal Maccrossen (sp?) park in Paddington. Just near the Ithaca swimming pool.
It's quite large and has two different playground areas.

The other is on Milton Road, down the hill from the XXXX brewery. Not sure of its name, but we call it the "train park" as it has a train in it, lol. It's pretty small, so older kids will probably get bored quicker - but at 19mths your DD would be fine!

There used to be a fenced park on/near Oriel Road at Clayfield. I haven't been there for a couple of years so not sure if its still fenced or what its like but from what I remember it was good.

 we find that's a really good one to go to with friends who have younger kids (mine are 3 and 6, so not bolters anymore). It's quite small, but has a lot of interesting play equipment (like a little pretend ice-cream shop with a till etc.). We find it's quite good for older and younger kids. Plus, it's fenced, so no bolting (it would want to be fenced -- it's on a very busy road!).

There's also melrose park at wooloowin, again 3/4 fenced, but the non fenced side has a little hill before it and trees. I went there for a b'day party on the weekend with 2 runners and it wasn't a problem.
