Hi There

All the specific "teething" items I have my little one isn't that interested in!

I have an old leather wallet she seems to like chewing on as well as a wet washer and I was just wondering what "other" objects your baby liked when teething??

A red spatula.
Gets so excited when I get it out of the draw!

DS likes Metal - particularly my Pandora bracelet. He also like DD's little pink spatula with a metal handle (the metal end not the rubbery bit)
DD liked leather too (there was a little leather tag on my handbag that she was very partial to) and the wooden spoon handle which is supposed to be great for teething - DS isn't so keen.

Keys, and we have a bounce and giggle toy that he chews on while it vibrates (that's it giggling), and a soft bendy spoon and toothbrush

This will probably be perceived as a bad thing to do.... but...oh well.....one day when i was giving DS a very tiny dose of baby Nurofen i noticed he was eager to chew on the medicine syringe.

I looked at it and thought, rounded shape - perfect for getting to where it hurts and it is long enough for him to hold onto.

So i took out the plunger/suction part that squeezes the medicine out iykwim and plugged the end with the whole up. I put water into it and placed it into the freezer.....once it was mostly frozen i would give it to him in his high chair/ supervised and he would chew away to his hearts content. Needless to say, using any medicine to bring down a high temp due to teething was hardly used once we discovered "our" little teething apparatus:D It soothed his gums really well and he was content with just chewing on it.

Babblings do NOT feel bad, my DD1 is exactly the same but I'd never thought of putting water in it and freezing it! Even better. I would give her the medicine then let her chew on the syringe!!

At least now I have a few more ideas rather than the special teething toys which don't interest her at all! Thanks very much :yelclap:
