HI and welcome to sunny Melbourne (ha).

We have just organised a Melbourne mums get together and you are very welcome to come along.

It's 10.30am Wednesday 24th August at Chadstone Shopping Centre. We're meeting outside Pumpking Patch near David Jones. Just let me know if you want some directions.

It's only the second monthly meeting, so hopefully it will continue to grow and be a good place for us mums to meet up.

Sounds silly, doesn't it ... but welcome to Melbourne ! I have lived here all my life, and love it ! Years ago I heard Melbourne described as a big fluffy duvet, and that once you have curled up under it, you never want to leave ! I certainly hope that Melbourne comes to feel that comfortable to you and your family !

I missed the last Melbourne mum's catch up at Chadstone, but intend on going to the next one ! It seems like a great opportunity to extend the wonderful support and understanding that this website seems to offer. At very least, it is a nice place for a shop !

Until then, I live in Hawthorn, and will be returning to work in October in Brighton this year, so that is pretty close. It also means that I have a few work friends who live in the bayside area, and we often have a drink after work of a Friday ... well ... we used to, and I expect we will when I go back there !

It must be difficult being so far from home and friends ... especially with little ones ! My female friends kapt me sane when my little man arrived ... mind you ... this website probably kept me more sane than anything else !

I am more than happy to meet up for a coffee, etc before the "official" meeting. Just let me know !!

Hi Clare

We live nearby and would love to catch up. My husband is from London also. Although I'm sorry but we are parents to be - not actually parents as yet. Happy to catch up sometime though.
