Bleeding Again!!!

Hi Girls,

Just wondering if anyone can give me a clue on whats going on...

I have had severe endo in the past but when my DD was delivered by c-section 6 months ago my OB/GYN was sure that my endo was a thing of the past...anyway

I stopped BF at 3 months and AF arrived 2 weeks later, I had a longer than normal cycle (35 days) then my cycle became shorter (21 days) AF always hangs around for about 8 days so not much of a break when my whole cycle is 21 days....

I started fainting and had a million tests which all came back normal except my thyroid was slightly out of whack but was still considered normal for a post partum thyroid test.

I was put on the Pill to try to skip periods until I was ready to TTC again.

I have been on the pill for 6 weeks...the first 3 weeks were fine but I have now been bleeding for the last 3 weeks bar about 3 days...

Its heavy bleeding too like a real period not just spotting...

I am at a loss, the docs dont seems to know whats going on because all the tests come back normal, including my iron....

I'm lathergic and exhausted and just a bit sick of all the bleeding....

Anyone have any ideas?

I hear you hun. I had an early miscarriage at 4wks on the 4th of december, the bleeding lasted for 11days really heavy, it finished on 15th december. I then got AF again on day 17 of my cycle, 21st december, it lasted 6days but wasnt too heavy. So this month i have had 6days where i havent had AF. I find myself falling asleep whenever i close my eyes, i am so lethargic. I have had a Blood test and waiting for the results tomorrow. I have no idea whats going on with me either.

I had a "period" like this about a week after going off the pill to conceive DS... three weeks of very heavy bleeding that was unexplainable.

In the end the doc put me on a 2 week course of progesterone tablets which dried it up completely within 24 hours. A course of iron tablets sorted out the draining effect of it, too.

Still no idea what it was other than perhaps a bit of a physical spac atack from going off the pill, so maybe yours could be due to the change in hormones after giving birth/starting pill etc?
