What age for molars?

What is the average age for bubs to start getting molars?
My DD is 11 months old and has cut her first 2 molars in the last week. She has one on top & one on bottom. Is she young to be getting her molars? I thought they started coming through at about 18 months. (??)
She got her first 2 teeth at 4.5 months & now has a grand total of 9! She has not had a lot of trouble with any of her teeth & half the time, I dont even realise she is teething until I stick my finger in her mouth & get bitten!

Does anyone else have bubs who have had that many teeth by that age? What is the average?

My ds1 had most teeth by 10 months and has finished getting all teeth by 2yrs. He got his teeth quite early too and had a alot of pain with them but they are so over now thank god!!!!
I would know every time he would get them as he would get a runny nose, coughing and be a real whinger, more than usual. My friend's Ds same age has only 6 teeth so I am sure all baby's develop at different stages. Your just one of the lucky ones, like me.:smiliedance:

DS had 8 teeth by 7 months and has just gotten 2 molars at 12months. He is getting another 2 at the moment and turns one tomorrow!!

Around 12 months is normal for the first ones to come through I think.

DD is 20 months and she's just got her last 4 left to get. I wish they'd hurry up!!

DS is 14 months and doesn't have any of his molars that I can tell... Gues it goes to show that all kids are different and get to each milestone at different times...
