Cooper was around the 6 month mark when he started holding his own...
DD is 17 months old and doesn't hold her own bottle, i'm sure she could if she really wanted to. she was breastfed till 10 months though

Keiara was lazy and didn't do it till 10 months.
but I never put her hands around it and it didn't bother me feeding her. I am sure she could have done it earlier if I had of shown her what to do.
around a year, i never tryed to make her so im sure she could have before, but i didnt mind <3
DS is 3 and he won't do it at all.
But I don't mind as it's the only time we really get to a have quite cuddle together.
He has his milk in cups during the day by himself, but at night he still likes it in a bottle (and I hold it) as it's more relaxing.......for him and me :p

DS2 was around 6mths, but he still hasn't figured out to lift it up to get the rest of the milk out. He probably would soon enough if I gave him the bottle to hold all the time.

Mine are breastfed, but DD has the occassional bottle and she can hold it...almost! When it's full she needs a little help. DS plays with a bottle with water in it (in the hope he will like it enough to drink from it - LOL) and he can lay on the floor and hold it up no probs. They are 7months, but 6months corrected.
My DD2 holds her own bottle and is 8 months...
Although she does have trouble when it has 200ml or more in it because it is a bit heavy for her I think

DS was just over 7 1/2 months when he started holding his own bottle, he has his bottle in his rocker chair at home or in his pram if we are out :)

DS never did... He was FF from birth, and changed to a straw sippy cup at 15 months that he held himself...
He was never interested in holding his bottle himself, but it didn't bother us because it meant getting a nice cuddle time with him...

I keep trying to show ds how to hold it, he'll hold it for a few seconds then just let go. Sometimes he won't even bother, I'll try and put his hands on it and he'll pull away..... It'll be good when he can hold it :)

My DD was about 6 months old when she went through a phase of refusing to let ME hold her bottle. Lasted a couple of months.
I introduced a sippy cup at 6 months and held it for DD. She could hold it herself from around 8 months.

When she 'could' was different to when she 'would' lol.. dd could hold her own bottle from around 9-12 months I think but she still insisted I hold it for her till she was about 18 months. I didn't mind.
