Hi all

I can't believe I have already being in the GC for two weeks now. Although we are still waiting for our container to arrive. It is still sitting at customs. Man seems to take forever!. It's so inconvinient not to have anything.

SO far we have just been exploring a little around our area. We live in Ashmore and so far really enjoy it.

It's nice to hear kiwis around the place, like today at dinner heard the table across from us talking about the All Blacks. Makes me feel not so homesick. Anyway looking forward to meeting all of you when we finally feel more settled and our furniture arrives.

Janet

Hi Janet,

Welcome to the Gold Coast! We live in Ashmore as well - it's a nice little suburb and everything is really close.

Glad you are not too homesick. I am from the UK and find it like home here as I have met so many nice people. There are lots of playgroups around here that you might enjoy. Check out the playgroup australia website - lots in the Nerang, Surfers, Labrador area.

Hope your container arrives soon!

Claire :)
