Help! His testicle is gone!

Hi guys, I've got an appointment at the docs at 8.20 for ds, coz when I changed his nappy, I noticed a large lump above and to the right of his penis, and saw that one of his testicles is gone... Has anyone had a similar problem? I'm freaking out....

Hey Sarah, it is good that you are going to see the doc, but please don't be freaked out. It is common for boys' testicles to retract into their body. This usually happens when they are really relaxed or when they are a bit cold.

agree with the last posting... our little one has an undescended testicle and they can move it up and down, it just won't stay down. if you ever notice it again and the area is red and your boy seems to be in pain, then that could indicate it is trapped and you need emergency advice. but if he is fine and it looks normal-coloured then don't stress. hope the doc was helpful
