Gold Coast Birth centre rules??

Just curious does anyone one know if the birthing centre is available to those outside the Gold Coast district? i live in the hinterland looking over the Coast but have been given conflicting info with regards to if I can use the Birthing Centre facility, reasons why I couldn't were given that a midwife would not be able to do home visits which is in the hospital program. Anyone know?

Hi mumtobenumber3, i'm going through the gc birth centre at the moment, as far as I know there is a cut of distance to were they will go, the only way to find out is to ring them yourself and ask

Hi Greyeyes,
i had my first visit at the hospital. 5 hours later i found out that I am out of the area but even if I wasn't I couldn't use the Birthing Suite due to the fact that I will be trying for a VBAC and because of complications that could arise they will keep me in the labour ward.
Darn It!!
