Hi guys,
Does anyone know how much panadol goes into breastmilk? Ive got a bad cold and am living on panadol.....is that Okay?
I know I cant take Asprin or Cold and Flu tablets...but Pandaol is okay isnt it?
Thanks heaps!
Kat
Hope you find out cause Im interested in this also :)
I have a bad back/shoulders and cause of EJ teething she's having panadol also so I don't want it to end up she gets more than she can have etc?
I know when I was in hosp when had her i was having panadeine so thats obviously ok when breastfeeding or the hospital wouldnt give it.
Panadol is fine during pregnancy, so I would assume it would be ok while B/F. Just make sure you don't go over the 8(?) tabs in 24 hrs.

Pretty sure panadol is ok with breastfeeding...
You can also use Nerofen while breastfeeding.. I think I asked every midwife and doctor I saw in hospital and then also the chemist...
Double check with the chemist but you should be fine on panadol
Hope your feeling better soon

I take aspirin. I was unaware that it was bad for BF. I knew that I couldnt have it during latter pregancy but didnt encounter headaches (what i take them for). I have only had the one since giving birth and I took them after I had bf, that way I knew i had 3 hours before I needed to bf again.
I take them because I cant swallow tablets. Bad childhood experience!
PS My ob advised me to take an aspirin a day during pg giving a condition that my mum had. So it cant have been that bad.

Depends on the condition your mum had, for some people it can be quite harmful.

Thanks ladies!
I'll ask the Chemist about Asprin then, I had a feeling it goes into the breast milk and is bad for babies.
I get miagraines, I cant take my normal meds, but Aspro clear help more than Panadol do...must ask!
