Okay!
He's asleep! I'm waiting on a midwife visit (who the hell tells tired, sleepy, nap-wanting mothers that they'll be there sometime between 9 and 3 ?????) so I'm sorting through the poor boy's clothes and reached his nappy bag.

Due to impending doctor's visit on Wednesday I thought it was high-time for me to pack it.. so what are the things I need in there? :D

Pretty much the same here...
The spare change of clothes (or 2) is a must if you are breastfeeding, DS use to leak at nearly every nappy change very early one...

All the best

Your b/f so no bottles for you :p

A spare change of clothes including singlet & socks ( trust me you need these with little boys tis amazing where they can aim  )

Spare blanket

Not sure if your using a dummy i use to take two one to use & a spare in case

Facewasher if your not using them for bums in case you need to clean yourself or the pram up from baby spews ( again learnt this from experience )

Any medications that you need - that includes a small bottle of saline for clearing their nose, any wind drops you might use, pain relief (when a bit older - I use Brauers).

I also keep an extra spare change of clothes/bibs etc and a spare packet of nappies in the boot of the car at all times.

While you're at it, see if you can fit your whole house in there.

The kitchen sink? That way you can give him a quick bath if he gets really dirty.:p
I would definately fill it to the brim with spare clothes. Some days (like today), I go out and she doesn't need any new clothes and others she can got through 5 outfits.

ok honestly you dont need that much. for a longer trip out yes. but not if your only going out for an hour or so.

I usuall just take a bottle of warm water (i FF and add the formula later*), a few nappies, a change of clothes, and a cloth nappy for vomit.

* I use one of those formula containers that has three seperate compartments. Absolute life saver. I got mine from woolworths, for about three dollars.

But in it I have my Gr8x nappy change wallet I always carry

4 nappies
2 changes of clothes
bepanthen
nappy sacks
wipesThat way I am Covered also if your nappy bag doesn't come with a change mat you can buy the huggies change mats they are great as so many of those change tables/rooms are dirty I hate putting E down on them.

Everything mentioned but also lots of bibs. Man I went through lots of bibs. Babe saved all the vomits for when we went out. :barf:
The tip is to pack the necessary items in the bag before you go out. I have bought extra and then leave them in there.
I use cloth nappies, so there is always two nappies in there, liners, snappis and pair of pilchers (can be added to depending how long you are going for), nappy sacks, wipes, cream (we use pawpaw cream). When we go out then I just add the outfits according to the weather.
Now I have added teething gel to the necessities:D

The other thing I do is have a small back pack for the shops. I just take one nappy, a damp face washer in a freezer bag and a bib. Everything else stays in the car in case of emergency.

omg that was hilarious!!!

If you're going to be close to the car pack another bag with extra nappies/wipes/changes of clothes and take with you

nappies (depends on how long you're out for as to how many)
wipes
bibs
wind drops (if needed)
change mat
change of clothes.
chuck your wallet and keys in there too.

You get to pack less when they get older. I'll often leave the whole nappy bag in the car if I'm only going out for an hour or two and just take my keys and wallet.

I like one of those soft plastic packs of tissues. They are good for mopping up all sorts of bodily fluids, not just those of the bub, either!

Didn't read all the posts so someone might have already mentioned it - spare breast pads!
