Hi there everyone my name is Ang!
I live in Gold Coast Hinterland, I have been looking at this site for a little while & thought it time to become more regular!
I was wondering if anyone knew of a really good childcare centre? I need to send my son in January when I go back to work:thumbsdown: . I work at Arundel, so anywhere around there...Ashmore, Nerang would be great. I am just finding it really hard to start looking with no idea what to look for. I really don;t want to send him at all but the bank dictates!..no doubt you understand how that goes:banghead:
I am also looking for new young mums like me to befriend!...have been here for a while but really never ventured out to make friends.
Hope to hear back real soon. Thanks for any information in advance:hugs:
Cheers!
Ang x

Hi Peanutsmum,
"Peanut" is the nickname we gave bub while I was pregnant...but he's not little Peanut anymore, quite the chubby bubby. Heath is a nice name for a boy.
Welcome to the Gold Coast, I'm new as well, haven't met many people yet. If you'd ever like to catch up for coffee, chat, etc, let me know, or just email me. It can get pretty lonely at home on your own sometimes!
All the best, take care,
Shontelle :)
Hi there Angela,
My name is Felicity and Im new to the GC too. I am a sahm too but may be looking at working one or two days a week next year as a primary school teacher, not too sure yet though. I only want to do one/two days cause I really dont want to put my little boy in child care but want to do one/two days just for a little sanity. I hope you find a decent child care that you can get into. :fingerscrossed:
Im impressed that you are already finding time to post a thread when your bubba is only a little over a month old. Congrats:thumbsup: If you ever feel like venturing out and about give me a buzz.
I just wanted to pop in and say hi:wave:
Im Chels,my lil poppet is 9 months old.
All the gals and hubbys are having a BBQ this weekend. If you can make it,we would love to meet ya

Hi Ang, Welcome to Bub Hub. Look forward to meeting you - I'm always up for a chat :ecomcity:
I don't know any of the kindys in your area, I Live at Merrimac - but I recently changed kindys for my DS. He now goes to SunKids. They are great - beautiful new building, air conditioning (a must for summer) great facilities and the staff are fantastic. I have trouble getting DS to want to come home most days :crying: , but at least I know he loves it..I know there is one in Burleigh and one in Merrimac. I guess it all depends on where you work cause you'll want your bundle to be close to you. Good luck on your serch.

Hi Ang, not sure if you still wanted info on childcare but just saw your post and thought id reply.
I work at Benowa Childrens Centre on the cnr of Benowa and Ashmore rd (although am on maternity leave at the moment) and can tell you its a great centre! Thats where my little man will be going when he gets a bit older :).
They provide meals, have great programs, all airconditioned, all the girls there are excellent and love their jobs!
There are 5 different rooms from the nursery till preschool - ages from 6wks to 5yrs.
Any childcare centre should be more than happy to show you around though and let you meet the staff and see the room your child will be in.
Hope that helps.
