View Full Version : how many days before O did you BD?
Just wondering is anyone has BD'd 1-2 days before O and still fallen pregnant?
I O'd on Sunday i think and we last BD'd on Friday night. I'm wondering if we definately missed the egg?

Yes we did this with our daughter - apparently bd'ing before O is more likely to get a girl according to the Shettle's method ;)
We bd'd on about CD 8 with her and I ovulated about day 10.
Healthy sperm can live up to a week if conditions are just so, so it's absolutely possible to get pregnant from having sex a few days before O.
Good luck!
oooh thanks emmylou that has given me renewed hope!

Each time I fell pg we did the duty twice a day. Once in the morning and once at night for about 2 days before expected O and for one day after expected O.
Happy Bedding!

Thankyou!!!
Well the spotting started again today....
i wouldn't worry i had bleeding at 6, 8 and ten weeks with my daughter and she was fine!
I did go and get an U/S though to make sure it wasn't anything serious. They could see where i was bleeding form my uterus but it wasn't near the placenta so they said it should be fine and it was.
Go to the doctor and demand an U/S if you are worried!

I don't want a uc yet though as nothing would be visible hey? I'm scared they will go nup nuthin there let's do a d&C and there is something all along.. :o
fair enough! I wasn't thinking how far along you were when i wrote that! I'm getting a pregnancy brain out of sympathy with everyone who is already pregnant!
Just try to relax then and i'm sure it will stop! :fingerscrossed:
