anyone get sick with tonsillitis/flu during pregnancy?

Hi... Right now I am feeling like **** I have tonsillitis and also the flu my body aches so bad... I am not eating much as it hurts to eat I have been drinking lots lots of water and sucking on cough lozenges - got sick on saturday night and today it is the worst I have ever felt... I am wondering whether it is ok to get medication prescribed by the doctor - am going to docs at 11:30 this morning... I am just worried about harming my baby by not eating properly...


am wondering if u have any advice that may help me??? I am about 13 weeks preggers so its really early stages which is why I am worried about harming the baby....

any advice would be appreciated!!

yes I know its horrible.. I am just having a VERY bad month... my daughter is sick my partner was sick last week I got gastro a week ago was admitted to hospital for couple of hours when I had severe pain down under was worried we would lose the baby but as the doc said if there was a bleed there is a chance but there was no bleed thank god!... it was gastro that was making it awful! and now i got tonsillitis and flu I am like WHAT IS NEXT!! I just want to have a trouble free pregnancy like I did with my daughter it was PERFECT I LOVED IT and had hoped this one would be the same but it doesn't look like it!!! :mad: My partner is soooo worried and constantly checks on me through the night for the past 2 weeks :sleeping:

Yip, Im just getting over it. Had the same this time last pregnancy too. Baby gets all nutrients before you do so dont worry about that either. Hope you feel better soon.
