Hi all, I have a 20 month old little girl. I have thus far managed to keep her away from lollies, cakes, packet chips etc. However, I feel a bit of an outsider in our mums' group and think everyone thinks I'm a bit full of it, as their littlies are all eating cakes and snacking on salty biscuits etc. and its getting increasingly hard to stop the other mums and/or their littlies giving these things to my little one. Just wondering whether there are any like-minded mums out there or do you think I should just chill a bit and let her have some sugary and salty treats?

Im sorry I think you need to chill a bit! :o:chillpill:
You can only stop them for so long! When she is 4 at at preschool and every childs birthday they will have cake and lollies she will feel like she is betraying you and feel naughty and no child should feel like that just for eating a lollie!
Everything in moderation is what you have to teach her!
My mum tried to keep us kids away from fizzy soft drinks and now im a coke-a-holic! So it wont stop her later in life! You may end up making her hate healthy food!
i have three 7,3 and 18mths and I have done my best to keep them away from "junk" it's not easy and some people make you feel like an ogar but stick with it and maybe give them a little treat at special occations.:yelclap:from sunshinemum too:laughing:

Thanks Abyss - so nice to hear I'm not the only 'ogar' out there - lol! Yip I'll defo have to start giving her the occational treat here and there like at parties, but I'm going to try my best to keep her healthy as long as I can. :chef:
