So what do bub hub kids eat? Until now, DS has kind of eaten whatever we eat, which has not been a lot lately.

He does snack a lot though. His favorite snack are the organic freeze dried apples from the baby section at the upermarket, sultanas, breadsticks, cheese, mandarins, strawberries... olives and ham!...

I was flicking through Melbourne's Child today when I noticed an advertisement for Gourmet Dinner Service.
Having not much else to do tonight as my DS is at my mothers house for a few days while I recover from meningitis... (whole other story)...I placed an order for over two weeks worth of meals for DS. I ordered two of everything on their kids menu... :) I am so excited about DS eating them!!! :smiliedance:

Has anyone ever ordered from them?

What does your child eat on a typical day?

Until she was about 12 months old I made her special meals which I used to do in bulk and freeze.
By about 12 months she started eating what we eat. The main challenge with that was having to move our dinner time to about 3 hours earlier than what we were used to LOL.

I am so so hoping that this dinner service is good! and that DS eats it! DH used to cook special meals for him until he was around 12 months old - then DS and I went oversea's - while we were there DS ate whatever I ate and when we returned I started feeding him Heinz - untl three months ago, when I found mould in one of the cans... eek! :barf:
Since then, we try to feed him what we eat, sometimes without success and he hates baby foods. He basically snacks full time.
I hope to get him eating breakfast, lunch and dinner with tiny snacks in between.

we actually do a bit of most of the options. Depending on what we are having I will either give him some of what we have, or make him a special dinner of his own. He also has bought custards and puddings - I just can't get the hang of making it. Mum will be here this week and I will get her to tell me where I am going wrong. He likes to snack on milk arrowroot biscuits, sultanas and cheese as well as having three feeds a day still.

I chose special home cooked meals because this is what my DS mostly has. I cook his food in batches (veggies, chicken, meat, liver...) then I freeze them. I probably have about 8 cups in the freezer at a time. I cook every 2 days. I've been doing this since DS was 7 months. The only reason I do this is I try to cut down on his salt intake cause he does love his biscuits!

Although, he doesn't exclusively have home cooked meals. I have given him the occasional heinz jar when we are out and about.

For his birthday, 4 days ago, he had some banana bread for the first time!!! :yelclap: That's what I served for dessert with candles and eveything since I wasn't too sure about the usual birthday cakes and frosting. He absolutely loved it. Everyone had it with double thick cream on the side! YUmmo!

He has also started on full cream milk and seems to like it.

Soon, I've decided to start letting him try some of the meals that DH and I have. I'll just separate his before I season the dish.
