Party ideas for a turning 3yr old

DD1 will be 3 in a about 5 weeks and I wanted t organise something small with a few friends from daycare here at our place but I have no idea where to start.
What did you all do?
What sort of foods did you have?
I would like some junk and healthy foods but not really sure if any of her friends would like the healthy foods.
What about games?


Any ideas would be great thanks.

my son recently turned 3 and i had organised a face painter and a balloon maker to come,
to entertain the kids. i had 11 kids & did a variety of foods, hot and cold, namely,

sandwiches
chocolate crackles
pizza
caramel slice
sausage rolls
party pies
celery, carrot and cucumber sticks
meat balls

i didn't do any games as we have swings and a sandpit outside.

i also allowed 2 hours for the party and gave out lolly bags to the kids upon leaving.

it was a great day.

Oh that sounds interesting... How did you find her, was it through the local paper?

just did a search in the yellow pages actually for someone relatively local,
but yeah you could check your local paper too.
