My first class is at 10am. I'm nervous and excited about it, after my break of 6 months. I've never left DS for more an 1 1/2, no more than 30 minutes with anyone other than my partner.

I'm trying to think positively about it - it will be great to have something to focus on other than DS, socialise a bit more, getting into a routine. And at the end of this semester, hopefully I get to graduate! (I'm studying a bachelor of arts)

Good luck to all other people returning to uni (or who already have!)

Oh and I just wanted to add - I AM taking DS into one of my seminars every week. Has anyone else done this? It's a small class of 7, and like a mini-honours course so its all self-directed learning. do you think this would be a problem?

i have read on here that there are some very accomadating(sp?) uni's when it comes to children being taken to lectures etc. :) i would ask before hand to see if its ok.
good luck with your course :hugs: :fingerscrossed:
i hope you do well :D

I'd ask the seminar coordinator first. Most would likely be very accommodating, others get a stick up their bum about any and everything.

Best of luck with the beginning of semester! I'm on the opposite side of the fence - this is the first time in 5 years that I'll be taking a break from classes. I vaguely miss the idea of not going to uni already ... ah well, I'm sure February will arrive all to soon :)

Argh! I have a lecture at 8am tomorrow. Thats just wrong! Means getting up before day break to have myself and DD organised to get there on time.
I HATE EARLY LECTURES!!!!

I'm tutoring tomorrow - 3 classes in a row! I've only ever tutored one class, last year, & I am nervous as hell

I'm back from class, and all I can say is "meh".

I spent the entire 2 hours thinking of Liam and feeling sad that I wasn't with him. My daycare options might be non-existent in a couple of weeks so I probably won't even be able to continue.

Sorry it didn't go too well, Cheezel. Perhaps someone in the class will loan you their notes or maybe the lecturer will give you their own lecture notes. Extenuating circumstances and all ...

:fingerscrossed:
