We are looking at buying a three wheeler pram. We at first were looking at a twin pram for the new baby and my 18mnth old who will be 2 when the baby was born but then thought it would be cheaper and more practical to buy an attachement toddler seat for the front of the pram.
My questions are: What is the best three wheeler pram - i have tried a few in the shops and it looks like i need one with the front wheel that swivels as they feel to stiff otherwise. Also the toddler seats if you have used these are the front ones or the ones that sit up near the handle bars better ( i dont like the look of those)

I've been looking at prams lately - I love the Phil and Teds E3 with the clip on toddler seat attachment. I think it's good as your toddler will grow out of the toddler seat and the pram can still be used for one bubba. I think it looks quite stable with a baby and a toddler in it.
Unfortunately the Phil and Teds one is not suitable for two newborn twins so I can't get that one as I'll need to get a side by side twin one. So I'll keep looking around!

Hey!
I have a steelcraft terrain 3 wheel jogger, which is great, nice & smooth, has front swivel wheel & the hood you can pull right over so the sun doesnt get in bubs face, but only found out just before bubs was born that you cant get a toddler seat for it, although steelcraft have another jogger which you can get the toddler seat for.
Anyways I bought another 3 wheel jogger, Valco Runabout with toddler seat, its ok, it has the toddler seat on the front, the only thing I dont like is that when my toddler is in it, it is SO hard to steer because all the weight is on the front.
So if I go out on my own I put the baby in the sling use the steelcraft stroller!
Another problem with the 3 wheelers is that they do seem to tip over easily.

Well we have a 4 wheel pram with a toddler seat that comes off, my fiance and I don't drive so when we go grocerie shopping we take 2 prams (we bought the toddler seat pram coz I was pregnant at the start of the year but miscarried) we put Hayley in the toddler seat and fill the rest with shopping (saves getting a fine for steaeling a shopping trolley) I think (hopefully) I will have my licence by the time we have another one anyway, and I'll probably sell the other pram or give it to a friend or relative if/when they have a bubba (its still in good condion only there is a screw thats come out at the top but easily fixed) anyway, back to the topic, the pram was bought from a second hand baby store.
I had the valco 3 wheeler with toddler seat and it overbalanced all the time. Very unsafe! I then bought a tandem but not so easy to push when going for a walk
I now have the phil and teds and it's fantastic! If you want a 3 wheeler it is the way to go. Very easy to push. The weight is spread evenly so it doesn't overbalance.
I also like the bertini 4 wheeler with toddler seat, but didn't get it as DD1 still sleeps in the pram sometimes.
HTH.

We also have a Valco with a toddler seat, i found it flipped once when the toddler was in the front, the weight balance isn't right, now that my DS is older she sits in the front and the bigger one sits in the back, works much better and is much safer.
But i wouldn't advise you to get one, scared the hell outa me that day, luckliy they were both strapped in or it could have been real bad
