Knowing that twins run very strongly within my body, it could even be going from 3 to 4 AND 5.

It is such a huge step. New car!

I could probably put my youngest son (whos 2 years younger than the twins) in with the twins once the baby is 5 months or so.

Im worried about everyones reactions. We've had some money troubles lately, and we are slowly working through them. I am studying so I wouldnt be able to go back to work anyway until Im finished with that and the course takes up to two years.

Would money stop you having another? I know this one will be our last, no matter the sex. If this isnt a girl we arent meant to have one. We are relatively young (25ish) so I could wait another few years before having the next, but I really dont know when would be the right time.

Is there ever a right time? What did you wait for? When did you know it was right?

Hi:wave: We have just recently gone from 3-4. The car thing worked ok for us - just trade our newish model wagon for an older model tarago.
We decided to add on an extra room in our house for the 2 older boys - its a really big room so even if we r still in this house when they are teenagers they will have plenty of space. I realised early on in the pregnancy that putting all three boys in a small room really wouldnt go down to well!
I think you have to be realistic about money - obviously it is going to cost more having another child - Im starting to get very nervous about future shopping bills.
The main thing is is having enough time and energy for all of them (physically and mentally).
As for "what did we wait for" and "when did we know it was right" well after a year of trying really hard to concieve we actually decided that we would stop and move on, just enjoy the family we have and now that they are at a good age start the fun things like camping trips. Of course the next month we fell pregnant, so I guess to me having a fourth was totally meant to be.
Our fourth baby is a total joy, and the school runs and other things I was worried about have been a breeze (so far!!).
Good luck with your decision:):xmas:

Wow - and you got a girl at the end of it too! I have three boys too.

Thanks for that, some food for thought.

Wow, you life is so similar to mine, we are pregnant with #4 and when bubs is born will have 5yo, 3yo, 2yo boys. Did you do anything special to get your girl?? Did you find out what you were having?

Blu3Light - sorry for hijacking your thread! Its a hard decision when/if to have a 4th. For us we had to do it sooner rather than later because of our age. You are young enough to wait, but then there's that thing of having your boys close in age, and then the 4th one a fair bit younger. I always wondered how that would work. Life would prob be a bit easier for you if you waited til some of your boys were at school. But for me I wanted the whole nappy/sleepless nights over with. I havent slept for 5 years, and once I start sleeping again there is no way, i could go back to babies again!

The twin thing is exactly my fear too :D

New car!
New car we don't have to worry about because we had to get a new one when we went from 2 to 3 so bought a 7 seater in anticipation. Shop around and you'll be able to find a second hand tarago, for example, without too much trouble. Just don't leave it til the week before your baby is due like we did :o

I'm worried about everyones reactions
PLEASE don't worry about everyone's reactions! I'm so over people looking at me like a freak when we say we want 4 kids. It annoys the crap out of me that people do this. I don't go around saying "oh you're ONLY having 2". So what other people think shouldn't be a worry to you hun.

Would money stop you having another?
Nope! We always wanted 4 so we will have 4. This is the first time I haven't worked since having kids so we are on the bones of our bum, building a new house too (timing all wrong!) but it won't stop me. I would regret it if I stopped and couldn't handle that. There are so many ways you can do things cheaper. I think bub #3 has one T-shirt that wasn't his brothers, yes he's only 7 months old but I've still saved a packet so far!

but I really dont know when would be the right time
Is there ever a right time???

What did you wait for?
I'm waiting til I shed some more kilos then we'll jump in the deep end

When did you know it was right?
When I peed on a stick and got 2 lines... none of our kids have been planned because APPARENTLY I can't conceive children on my own (long story)

So I'm sort of at the point where, if you try and plan kids for the "right time" there will always be a reason to wait... wait til I finish my course, wait til we move house, wait til the baby is older, wait til we can afford it... I guess because I was told I couldn't have kids I'm just gonna have them when it happens and adjust when it does. My kids have everything they need and don't miss out. They have a big family and I think that's the most important thing. I'll probably pull my hair out when they hit the designer label stages of teenage years but oh well, cross that bridge when I come to it

I'm rambling now... good luck with your decision.. enjoy your babies (3, 4 or 5) :flowerz:

Hi Sarahsboys:wave: Our girl was a bit of a "suprise" baby - concieved by two people with a gut full of Vodka and Jim Beam - maybe the alcohol makes a difference (definately makes you forget a condom!!) as we drink hardly ever and we had just been to a party.
