I had a friend that lost her baby a couple if
months back. We all pitched in an bought her a star, named after the baby. She said after that it was the best gift she had ever been given as they can look at the stars and know that bub is looking over them.

That is perfect :)
Sorry to hear about your friend's loss:( I don't even want to imagine.
:iagree: with all the other ladies, a star is a beautiful way to remember someone special.
A star is a lovely idea. Also, perhaps a journal and a nice pen or a plant to be planted in bub's honour.

A great group of girls got together when I lost my darling son Jacob back in September & they bought me a growing gift plant (Gardenia; Pm me for the site) plus a pot to plant it in (something we'd be able to watch grow since we wouldn't see our son grow), an angel broach, a candle to light when we wanted to reflect on Jacob, a photo frame to put his picture in, a willow tree angel (angel of the heart, where I keep him), they managed to get his name written into the sand at sunset & got a picture of it & did a beautiful scrapbook frame for it, some massage cream & essential oil, women's essence spray to help destress & some goats milk soap just to pamper me with. They also got me a metal box made in blue as I hadn't gotten round to buying a memory box & last but not least they also gave me a notebook (somewhere I could write thoughts etc down).
They did this all on the sly & was a wonderful surprise when it all arrived. Such a gesture was & still is treasured
I think the star idea is a wonderful idea also.

We were going to get you the star too Ames, but decided on the plant instead! Big hugs and kisses sweetheart! Been thinking of you at Christmas :hugs:.
Pookiebear - So sorry for your friend's loss :hugs:. The star is a wonderful idea and so is the plant, as Trulyblessed said, she really liked it. Perhaps something to remember the baby by and something just for her, like a massage voucher or pampering products etc.
Here is the site to get the child's name written in the sand. It is a lovely gesture and the photo can be taken off and framed for your friend as we did for Trulyblessed.
