Anyone heard from NGU?

I was wondering if anyone knows how Never Given Up is going? I haven't seen any posts from her for a while.

Hi Emdee,

Thanks for thinking of me :hugs:. I'm going really well. Had my NT scan last Friday and it was surreal, such an emotional time. Couldn't take my eyes off the LCD monitor on the wall the entire time. Both bubba's are doing gorgeously, sonographer and doctor were both very happy with all the measurements taken and had great results all round.

Hey, so good to hear from you! So glad all is well with the twins! Was getting worried!
I am good, well terrified as I got a bfp this cycle, totally unexpected! Not sure what to put it down to, but I am still guzzling the intact every day, so I can't thank you enough for your input there! Are you still taking it? I'm wondering whether to order some more??

I am waiting for my first scan and the thought of that is enough to scare me half to death, as I am sure you can imagine as your road has been pretty tough too.
I am just praying for a different outcome this time.

I am so happy to see you got your BFP!! Congratulations hun :goodvibes:. I have been told to stay on the Intact Colostrum, is becoming harder to take now as because of the m/s my tummy is quite fragile at the moment with nausea so the milk doesn't go down too well atm. Last night I couldn't keep it down! I have to try taking it in the middle of the day and not at night time after tea like I've been doing so that it doesn't upset my tummy.

Can't say enough how happy I am to hear that you got your BFP and with the Intact! I swear by the stuff :)

Congrats to you Emdee and all the best for the scan, i know that wait getting to the first scan is so nerve-racking.

I was hoping i could ask you a few ?'s please NGU about Intact Colostrum...what is the theory behind it? i understand it is for immuno issues? Does it suppress the immune system or boost it? Did you have pos ANA or NK cells (i cant remember sorry)? I have pos ANA (will be tested for NK cells next month) and have had 3 unsuccessful pgs and am feeling that this could be the issue with me. Did you take prednisone aswell? Did FS suggest the colostrum?
Hope you dont mind me asking all this, i am just so tired of failing this ivf journey and am willing to try anything at this stage.:(

YY, I can't answer all your ques, well the ones about the intact anyway as I have no idea, I just decided to give it a shot! Mind you, it is very early days and I have some very real fears that it won't make any difference :(
Still, so far so good and that's all I have for now.

As for an immune issue, for me personally none has ever been found, but that doesn't mean there isn't one I guess.
I am also on 20mg of prednisone, taken from very start of down reg, and 40mg/ml of clexane, again taken from the very start of the cycle, plus one aspirin post EPU. I told my FS I had read about the intact and asked what he thought, he basically said, go for it, so I took that from midway through the cycle (as that was as soon as I could get it).

If you've got any more questions about my protocol etc, ask away, as things were a bit different this time too! That's what I am hanging on to in hoping for a different outcome anyway.

I actually had asked my FS about colostrum last app and he pretty much laughed in my face saying something about the adult stomach cant absorb colostrum anyway....maybe this is where this particular "Intact" brand comes in, is designed for adults to absorb?? Not sure about it all but very interested and willing to give it a go. Was mainly wanting to see if it was used with prednisone at same time...do they do the same job in suppressing the immune system?? I took clexane & aspirin last cycle and still didn't help me keep the pg.

Would love to hear from anyone else who has tried Intact Colostrum? Anyone else's treatment for pos ANA or NK cells?
