Hi everyone my beautiful DD is 11mths old and I would say on the later end of development. She has just started sitting and crawling. Recently I have been getting concerned about her hearing we are waiting on a call back for a appointment time for her. I hate comparing her to other children but have noticed that some things others are doing she just cant do or wont do. She can not wave, clap hands does not point at things ect. She also does not answer to her name which is the reason for her hearing being checked. Her paed has also noticed her babbling has not really progressed at all either she says dada but thats it. I thought at this age most babies have started mimicking but no mater how hard I try she just wont do it. I remember my other kids doing things like poking out there tongue ect if I did it to them from quite a early age. I have not discussed this yet with my paed honestly I normally forget to mention it after we have been over all the other problems and previously I thought it would be something she would start doing but now she is getting close to 12mth I think we may have issue I dont have a appointment with him again until the end of Jan. Also I dont think hearing issues would stop her from mimicking I have a son who is profoundly deaf and it never effected his ability to do this if anything he mimicked more as it was his way of communicating with us. Do you think I should be concerned I am trying not to worry but just cant help it. Thanks
