DD(just turned 2) suddenly started pushing her cousin (who is 4 months younger) without any reason. She is not angry or anything, she will just suddenly push. It's unpredictable when she will push.
I tried telling her calmly she shouldn't do this, I tried giving the other child attention when he gets pushed (ignroing her behaviour), I explained to her it hurts him. But, nothing seems to work. It almost seems she just loves to see me react. I smacked her at times too. I cannot ignore the behaviour either because it's not right and his parents will get upset.
What else can I do? Is this just a phase she is going through? Please tell me anything that might work.
