I have decided that when we have our next child I would like to fully use cloth but am a little confused as there are so many choices and I want to start buying some and putting them away (we haven't even started ttc yet).
With DS I did start using when he was newborn the Bambino MIO prefolds and covers but stopped using them when he got to big as I didn't have the next size up and DH did not want to use them at all.
So I will happily go back to using them in the newborn stage next time but what cloth nappies have worked well for you after newborn stage and roughly how much should I be paying.
Any advice would be great.

my suggestion is get yourself to the next baby and parenting expo.. that way you can get to do the touch and feely thing. or if you have any nappy consultants around they can show you some stuff. I'd be happy to show you my stash, if you live near Forster. I've got a few different brands. Personally I like the AI2's and minky.
I'd also only recommend getting one or two, perhaps trial packs of some different brands cos every bub will be different fit wise with the nappies.
Brands I have
Cushie Tushies, Genesa Forge, CGR design, Itti Bitti D'lish, NicNaps, Babybeehind- um i think thats it. :goodvibes:
Like Oliviasmummy said - if you can nosey at someones stash or see nappies at an expo it really helps.
I have sooo many different brands I can't think of them all. However I would say 90% of mine are second hand. So although I have well over 100 nappies so far they have only cost me around $700.
Most new MCN will cost you around the $25-$30 mark.
I prefer sized nappies but alot of people use OSFM.
My favourite nappies would be:
Itti D'Lish Snap ins (dry fast), Bubblebubs AIO (slower drying), Bonnibuns AIO with snap in booster (dry quite quick), Cushie Tooshies and Sandmans for nights. But these are what work for my kiddies.
Another idea is to hire a bunch of different nappies once your baby has outgrown your NB stash and then from there you can work out what you need. In the meantime start putting away $20-$30 a week so by the time bubs is here and you have tried out some then you will defiantely have enough $$ to buy new exactly what suits you guys best.
i use ''nannas'' nappies, they are great, have heaps of different pics on them/ colors and are easy for parents but hard for kids to take off. they come with an elastic band/buttons on nappy to stop little fingers taking them off. they are awesome.

Hey there Lea, just wanted to say it is exciting that you are going back to cloth.
Are you using cloth on jack now? Do you want nappies that both Jack and the new baby can wear?
It can be such a personal choice- and there are so many choices out there. I would recommend NOT buying heaps of one kind until you know they work for you..
good luck!
