My partner wants to foster some next year. He loves cats, but he's not allowed to get one until he finishes uni and gets a proper job.
He will be doing his honours next year from late February, and not working, so he'll be home a lot.
Our son will almost 18 months then. He loves cats and dogs, but he would probably try and grab them.
We have our own home, but the cats would have to stay indoors as there are a lot of wild birds in our suburb. The upstairs is carpet, but there's a secure study and landry downstairs which is lino. The baby doesn't go downstairs as the stairs are gated.
Has anybody else done it? Is it really really time consuming. I'm at work 4 very long days a week so I won't be there to help him.
Do you have the cats for long?
Does the organisation cover any vet's bills? Is it expensive to do, generally?
Any information would help.:) I grew up with pets but they were all strays or adoped ones so I've never had much to do with really young kittens.
