Joondalup VS Osborne Park Perth

Hi guys!!

im really confued about what hospital to go to!

i live very close to joondalup hospital but have heard mixed opinions about it there.

i have heard amazing stories about osborne park but i live about 20 mins away and my partner is worried about me going into labour in peak hour traffic!

anybody been to either of these hospitals? any recomendations?

I Went to Joondalup and loved it! My midwife was awsome, sh stayed with me while I was induced and through my whole labour even though her shift was over and came in to see me and bubs the next 3 days I was in hospital even though she didn't have to. I'll be going back there next time. Like everywhere u will hear good and bad, maybe take a tour and see where u feel more comfortable, this is what I did and it really put my mind at ease. Perth has peak hour traffic?...lol ;)

From areas , i would say Osborne Park would be the go (i grew up in Freo..live in Vic now)

I've had a bub at both. DS1 at Ossie Park (20mins away) and DS2 at Joondalup (5mins away)..

I am having this bub at Ossie Park ;)

i had ds1 at osborne park and hated it. i had ds2 at king edward and loved it. i had a horrible experience at osborne park.

I was public in both hospitals. I really disliked my time at Joondalup and still blame them for a lot of medical issues that arose from my pregnancy and birth there.

Ossie Park however I couldn't fault them at all. The staff were lovely, the food was yumm (suprising for a hospital lol) and all my antenatal appointments this time there have been excellent. I was really worried about this pregnancy because of what happened at Joondalup but the midwives etc at Ossie Park have made me feel sooo much better.

My SIL went to ozzie park under public and they were wonderful, and had really nice birthing suites as well (I was there for the whole birth)

I have had friends that went to Joondalup, and both don't say very good things about them.
