Just wanting some help. My son has never really like meat. Although I have to hand it to him, he will eat fish :barf: Only a very small amount though.
However, chicken, cow, pig etc he wont eat. Not in any form (ie macca's nuggets even)

I need some help as to what I can feed him to keep his vitemins up that he would get from meat. Quite honestly I dont even know what you get from meat lol. He HATES egg, so dont even bother suggesting that lol. But yeah, just need some ideas as to what I can offer him.

Thanks in advance.:yelclap:

Guess he won't eat spinach for his iron then! Or tofu. Google protein substitutes, there are plenty of other options. Lentils and legumes are good and can be mulched up in rissoles with other grated or blended vegies. I wouldn't worry too much, lots of kids go through stages of limited intake of certain foods.

Accually he is the wierdest little guy. He LOVES vegies!! I gave him vegie nuggets one day and he pulled them apart to pick them out and left the shell. He loves my pumpkin bake I make too lol.

I will deffenetly try him on spinach and tofu because he is strange and would most likely love them :barf: lol He seems to like alot of things I wouldnt normally eat.

I will see what kind of things I can make out of the stuff suggested thanks.:xmas:

Bake beans are a great source of iron & folate. I often give DD bake bean sandwiches.

Make veggie pizza. I make mine on pita bread with lots of mushrooms, onion spinach & capsicum.

If he is a fan of fish, give him fish nuggets instead of chicken nuggets (DD will only eat fish nuggets).

replace meat with a veggie mix for pasta dishes... I make my veggie mix with carrot, onion, capsicum & heaps of mushrooms.

I also put meat with these but they are mainly veggies

Chickpea curry (very mild) with spinach is great, I make it in the slow cooker and can get heaps, then freeze for leftovers on nights I can't be bothered or don't have time to cook.

Also if you want to get egg into him without him knowing it's egg, spinach and pumpkin fritattas are great

I make them in the muffin trays and have them with salad.
