View Full Version : Can excessive bleeding be a sign of endo?
I have a strong family history of endo, nan, mum, sister & cousin all have it and its pretty much always been assumed I have it as I have a lot of pain throughout my irrigular cycles but Ive not been diagnosed. Since my last bub I bleed 10+ days a cycle and have even had cycles where I bleed for more days than not, Im wondering can this be a sign of endo???

It was for me  But I also had painful periods and painful sex as well as long cycles. Sorry hun but endo is very gene based. My mother had endo too. That doesn't mean you automatically have it, but your chances are much higher than someone who doesn't have a family history.
Normally endo tends to improve during and after being pg, I know it did for me. Before DD my periods were agonising and sex was painful. Now I get a couple of twinges and the next day I get my period. My periods are almost painless now. I have also gone from a 35 day cycle to a 28 day cycle.
I suggest you go get a u/s before having a laparoscopy. My gyno could clearly see the endo on u/s and it's so much less invasive than a lap.
