Just wondering if anyone has used babylove newborn nappies?? Or can recommend another dispo taht comes in a newborn size? I really don't want to pay for huggies this time around if I can avoid it!! I wish snugglers did a newborn nappy.

you could try the Mamia newborn size from Aldi. I've been using the next size up and they are work really well and are a really good price. I used the babylove newborn nappies and they leaked quite often on DS2 but were fine on DS1 (must be a fit thing). Hardly ever have a leak with the Mamias!

you could try snugglers they go up to 8kg or try sesame street begginnings from target they come in small size and they are really cheap and work really well, i used to use them alot, they even work well at night!:)

I would say dont bother with the Babylove,my sons deposits leaked straight out, would have had the same effect as not wearing a nappy at all!! in saying that if you wanna try them for yourself i have about 50 in my cupboard that i would quite happily post you if you want to pay postage. We complained and they sent us a pack of the next size up but even huggies have their moments with Blake. In babylove i have to change him every 1 1/2 hours and am dreading him waking as he has been asleep for 2 hours in a babylove!!:(

Babylove gave my DD a rash  They don't seem to be as soft as huggies either, no probs with them leaking tho.
You could try the Woolies select ones, they come in newborn, but they cost almost as much as Huggies.

I didn't like Babylove, they were very stiff and didn't fit well and looked uncomfortable.

We stuck with Huggies until we went to the next size up, and since then have been with Snugglers and have not had a worry.

I use babylove infant and have found them to be really good. .the huggies newborn were getting a little small but were also starting to give her a rash... swapped to babylove and unless she really decides to let go and fill it they rarely look. .

i preferred the aldi or snugglers newborn to the babylove - i found that the gel came out of the babylove ones if they got really wet.

We used Babylove with no dramas whatsoever same with Snugglers which is odd as many people seem to have some sort of issue with either !
Anyways we now use cloth so have no dramas with money

for the newborn stage (first fortnight), i'm looking at Bambo Nature disposables. If you contact them at their webpage, they send you out a free sample. There are other brands called Moltex and 7th Generation that i am also considering. All of these three brands break down in landfill. The prices of the Bambo Nature are the same as the supermarket nappies, the other two i'm not sure yet (still doing my research).

I am a bit nervous about buying in bulk (to get the good price) but don't know any way around that.

It seems tricky to find one brand that suits EVERY baby, cos i guess you don't know until you have your baby, whether it will have chubby or skinny legs. Like trying to buy clothes for someone you've never seen before.

Sorry i haven't got any practical info to pass onto you. Good luck.
