Hi well I think I over pack at times but here goes
In my nappy bag I have -
Nappies x 6-8 (one for every hour out plus a few spear)
Dummy x 2 (dd likes to drop them in the dirt :D)
Short sleeve body suit
Long sleeve body suit
Singlet x 2
socks x 2
Wrap
change mat (I just use the Huggies throw away ones as the one that came with the bag is quite bulky. They last awhile unless bub does a number 1 or 2 on them)
wipes
Sample size nappy cream
Hand Sanitizer
Foldable green bag
Link-a-loos (plastic ring things)
Small fabric book
Hat
Baby sunscreen
If its cold I chuck in a pair of leggins and a beanie
plus keys, wallet and phone plus lady things
I just have a little bag. Its a OiOi messanger bag but fits it all in nicely.

Nothing anymore. Nappy bags annoy the hell out of me.
I carry a spare MCN, and insert and wipes in my handbag, and that's it. Makes life far easier.
Mine contains:
2 x cloth nappies
1 x wetbag
1 x change mat
1 x container travel wipes
1 x terry flat (for spew/spills etc)
1 x muslin wrap (for breastfeeding)
1 x bunny rug (in case DS gets cold)
1 x romper
1 x pair of breastpads
1 x rattle/toy
Mine is pretty much the same as everyone elses list but I just had to say
1 x sample tub of nappy rash cream (it's lasted 7 months so far LOL)
^^ those sample pots of nappy rash cream are great! I had one from my old bounty bag for ages and when it finally ran out I just used a spoon to put some more in there! Saved heaps of room in the bag and you never need that much at any one time anyway.

I'm actually planning on buying a far more practical nappy bag than the one I have for when Bub 2 comes along. One that I can easily use as a handbag as well and is much softer than the very stiff one I already have.

bum creams - one for each child, cause they cant use the same. PITA!
Do they each have a different *type* of cream, or is this because of cross contamination? I was going to just use DS's cream for newbie if needed, cause I figure as long as I don't "double dip" then it's only my clean hand going in there each time.

Each have a different type, Paw Paw, Zink & Bepanthan. What works for one, doesnt work for an other.
When we were in hospital it was to stop cross contamination, if for what ever reason i do use the same cream for all of them i use a different finger. So far so good.
