Birth planned at Flinders Medical Centre

Hi

I am booked into FMC Public to have my first baby in April and am thinking about whether or not I want an epidural.

What were your experiences with an epidural at FMC and what were the drs and midwives like during and after labour?

I can't comment on the epidural, but I went through the birth centre and had a good birth, i really liked the birth centre and the midwives, but the aftercare i got was shocking. i kept getting forgotten about, breastfeeding advice was crap and they tried to kick me out when my baby wasmt even feeding. asbolutely shocking and I went private after that.

With my SIL's epidural, they missed her 6 times!!! sorry you dn't want to know that.

I had a crash c/section under a G/A so sorry i cant help with epidural advice but just wanted to say the care i recieved at FMC was fantastic.....one horrible midwife but im sure you get that everywhere and the rest were lovely.....
