View Full Version : Natural chemical free nappy wash?

Hi girls i really need to do a
"strip wash" of my inserts (i use mostly itti bitti sio and a few issy bear nights) as they are a bit pee smelly
ive had suggestions of canasten laudry rinse and dettol but id really like something natrual.. has anyone got any suggestions?

I dont think there is anything. Strip wash is antibacterial isnt it?? one thing i do know is that vinegar is NOT a good idea. Maybe just a plain hot water wash to extra rinse them, a few drops of smelly oils too maybe.

Lavender, euchalypus (sp) and tea tree are all anti-bacterial but not sure if they are really good to use on your nappies.

I usually just do a super hot wash and an extra rinse. Then line dry in full sun (anti-bacterial)

Inserts get a bit smelly when they do need a strip wash, so all you have to do is put the inserts through a hot wash with no detergent,

If you see suds in the water, then put them through a second wash.

Line dry and they will be as good as new. :)
