My nephew who is 4 is waking up around every half hour starting at 10:30. He isn't waking up crying or just waking up, but waking up screaming. Bloody murder. And he won't stop if you ignore him or anything. I let him go on for a while the other night, but he didn't stop.

The thing is, he is screaming not because he has had a bad dream, but because his blanket's aren't on him properly, his drink bottle isn't full, his stuffed puppy is in the wrong place etc...

It can take around 10 - 15mins to calm him down, and he will usually end up on his fold out couch in my room by around 2am.

Attention? Something else? I'm going insane and, I'm contantly tired because I have to keep getting up to him.

Any help???

Have taken him to the Dr's and nothing is wrong with him physically etc...

Could be night terrors, My DS1 has them, some more extreme then others. I always leave him alone until he calms down, becuase he will retilate if I try to come near. Do a google search on Night Terrors and you will find some good information. Hope they stop soon, they are awful not only for the child but for the parent/guardian as well :hugs
