Hi

DD is almost 7 months and today has one red cheek and I can feel a tiny sharp prickle in her bottom gum so I am guessing her first tooth is on he way.

Her gums don't seem too swollen but her sleeping has changed and she is super clingy and dribbling alot although not really anymore than usual.

My question is how long from the first signs of the sharp "prickle" does it take for the tooth to really come through ie days / weeks?

If anybody has any general teething advice too that would be great.

Thank you all so much

Maybe a week or so. My DD this morning has that first sharp bit of her eye tooth. It varies though.

If you can feel the sharp bit of her tooth then it is considered as being through. From this point it can take anywhere up to a month or more for the whole tooth to be visible, but cutting means when the tooth first breaks through the gum.

Congrats on the first tooth.
