I was wondering if any of your children have had a urine infection?
The other night Abby woke up screaming the other night and i took her to the doctors the next day, and they thought it was just thrush, so they done a pee sample and it has come back with a infection. She is on medicine but she is still screaming when she pees, and wont go to the toilet, she holds on until she can't anymore and does it where ever she is standing.
How long will this happen? i feel so bad for her...

Awww, poor thing. UTIs are horrible.
It should clear in in a couple of days if she's on antibiotics for it.
yes unfortunately it is quite common in little girls. make sure abbey dries herself properly (from front to back) each time and it will clear up in no time:hugs:

Poor little Abby! My DS had one when he was just 13 weeks old, poor little mite. It cleared up in a couple of days with antibiotics.

is it common for her area to be really hot? I put some cream on her before and it felt like it was boiling... She was crying and was asking for the cream, i feel so useless.
I gave her some pain stop at 6pm, so it would be numb for when she went to bed, but it hasn't worked so i rang Amcal and they said to give her some nurfoen (sp) as i couldn't give her pain stop until 12...
I have had heap of UTI's, they are awful for a young adult, your poor little girl :hugs: Has she started on the antiobotics, most of the time they should work straight away but some dont, but within 12 hours she should be right. Try to give her lots of water, I am not sure what age they can have URAL - a drink that helps with the pain (although it didnt work with me much and I couldnt stand the taste of them after I had them for so long)
I hope she is feeling better, send me a pm if you need to chat.

If it keeps up for more than a couple of days, ask your doc about Pyridium (Phenazopyridine)
It's a urinary-tract anaesthetic - you take a pill, and you actually secrete anaesthetic into the urine. Does *wonders* for the pain, though I have no idea if it's safe for children.
Oh, and it also stains your urine violent fluorescent orange. Seriously. You want to watch out for that.
poor little thing :(
Try some cranberry juice too
