DS is starting to poo out some discharge slimy stuff with small traces of blood (well it looks like blood to me)
ive taken him to the ER 3 times over the past 2 weeks as he has been really sick with a really nasty virus, ear infection & diahrea which cause a really red sore bottom...
what do you think it may be???
it has a bad smell to it also :(
he seems alot happier over the past 2 days (still not quite right, but massive improvement to what he was like)
what should i do, it doesnt seem right???
sorry TMI

Take him back if you're worried, hun. xx He's already proven 1000 times over that he's a little fighter but this bug has really been knocking him about. Might need to get some different medication for him. It could simply be his body clearing out the last of the bug that's in there but I'd probably take him in to be sure.

I would say that it may be caused from his diarrhea. I don't know that I would go to the hospital for that?? Do you have a GP maybe? Either way I would definitely get it checked out just to be safe.

Is he on any anti-biotics? Could just be upsetting his tummy a little.

thanks for the replies.
he has just finished a course of antibiotics (amoxycilin) which we were told to stop as they think he may have had a side effect from it & that may have cuased his diahrea??

Could be. Give it a day or two to get the AD's out of his system and see how he goes....if it's still happening then see a GP. BTW the blood could be from the diahrea irritating his bot bot and making it bleed.
I'd say blood in poo = see a doctor asap. That either means your GP today, or straight to emergency. Blood is poo is not normal and should be a reason to get him seen asap.
will PM you as m repply wil likely be TMI lol

Are you still on the same antibiotic they put him on that gave him loose stools. I know the rch here always gives out septryn sp? It gives both of my kids really bad loose stools to the point they blister. As soon as it did with both I asked them to change the antibiotic which they did. They gave keflex which wasn't too bad and I also find amoxylin which Austin is on atm not too bad. Definately take him back though because better to be safe then sorry. Poor little Hunter hope he gets better.:hugs: to you as well.
