Is four a bit young for vaginal discharge?

I keep finding what looks like vaginal discharge in my four year old's undies. I'm confused....isn't it a bit young??? I don't remember it starting till I was nine.
She doen't feel itchy or sore so shouldn't be thrush...what do you think?

DD was born with thrush, she had no other symptoms other than the discharge.

If you are concerned call 13HEALTH or see the GP

i would think thrush too, it can sometimes just be a discharge... she can get it from antibiotics or the heat.

Does she wipe properly when she goes to the toilet?

DD used to get a little staining on her knickers that I thought was discharge... it was kinda smelly too.

I thought that she was doing a decent job of wiping herself (which is why I was no longer doing it), but obviously not. Giving her baby wipes rather than toilet paper to use seems to be working wonders and I haven't smelt it or seen it since.
