Hey,
My partners daughter is unfortunately spoilt and has everything. We want to get her an awesome present for Christmas but its so hard. Everything i suggest she already has. I know that they are all at her mothers house but it would be so nice to get her something special that she doesnt have! What do you suggest? Thankyou :)

I'm assuming she has a trampoline?

Cubby house?
Play kitchen?
Jumping castle?
Ball pit?
Slide?
Bike/tricycle/play car?
Pool?

These are all outdoor things. Indoor things could be:

Art table with supplies?
Easle/chalk board?
Hwr own computer?
Computer programmes/games?
robotic pet/ robo dog?
A REAL pet?

I feel like she has every toy imaginable. I cant explain. Its like no 'special' doll or dvd or any toy she doesnt have. its so frustrating. just want to get her something special and meaningful...seems toys just wont cut it with her, poor thing is so young and just has it all

What about a bracelet that you can add to every year? Or an engraved locket?
These are things I'm thinking of for my DD who is 3 in a few weeks :)

OK, so if she has all the 'things' you have to get her something that's not a 'thing'. like

tickets to the zoo/zoo friends pass/aquarium/disney on ice or whatever

Photo album with photos of her since she was a baby, all her family and friends

Go on an excursion (like on a ferry or feed the ducks or something), take lots of photos, make it into a storybook about your big special adventure day.

Make a puppet show with her toys, film it and give her the dvd

I've found with my 4yo it's got a lot more impact to give an experience and create a memory than to give another toy that's going to be left on the floor. HTH.

I agree with if you can't find any "thing" that will work, then an experience present is a great idea!

Please do not give pets for Christmas. Animals are not toys. Pets are a responsibility, which a 3yo is not capable of taking care of. I have no problem with young kids having pets if that is their parents choice, I just don't like them given at a time that is traditionally for toys. It just doesn't sit right with me.

If the OP is the childs stepmum then I sure if she gets her a pet she will make sure its looked after.

I agree that you should'nt give pets to children if you haven't asked there parents or carers first though.

A polaroid camera. You can get one for around $30-$50. Kids LOVE them, they take photos and get instant results. You also get some really cute pictures from the kids point of view if you let them run wild with it, like photos of their favourite teddies and photos of their parents sleeping. :goodvibes:

-Wooden noahs ark ship with all the animals
-Cubby house
-Swing set
-Hermit crabs
Oh I know
-How about her own camping gear - sleeping bag, air matress, camp chair, torch etc then take her on a special camping trip after christmas

Some great ideas there thankyou! We took her to Lone Pine Koala Santuary for her birthday and she loved that. I love the idea of a polaroid camera as she is always using mine and wants to look at the pictures straight away after every one she takes lol...fair enough! I agree that pets can be irresponsibly (spell?) given as presents and is a big part of why there are alot in shelters. Plus i hardly need anymore work i.e a pet...BUT a fish is a great idea...how hard is it to look after a fish! Im also going to do the photo album. Ive taken HEAPS of her and her Daddy and im sure she doesnt have alot of those photos at her Mums. What great ideas thankyou so much :D
