Discharge - Warning TMI!

How do you tell the difference between having just extra goopy discharge and thrush? Will it only itch if it's thrush?

Thrush tends to lead to a yellowish cottage-cheesey textured discharge. And by all accounts, its kinda smelly too.

And yeah, the itch would be a bit of a giveaway, too.

Yep as beany has said you can definetly tell the difference between the two. Thrush has a really distinctive smell whereas the normal discharge really doesnt have much of a smell. Also because of the colour as well, thrush is really yellow. Thrush as you said is also very itchy where the normal discharge isnt itchy. If you're worried about it just go get it checked out and the dr's can give you some treatment to get rid of it.

I thought that I had thrush when I was pregnant but my OB said that it was just discharge and it was only itchy sometimes, he said I would be fine and I was. Oh and it was white TMI!!
