Hi ladies :) I was just wondering if anyone could teach me how to chart my cycle to know when I ovulate, me and DP are wanting to try for my 3rd, his 1st.

We have been trying for 6 months, my periods are every 28 days.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi AandKsmummy

I found the Fertility Friend website really helpful. (Often refered to as FF on these chat boards). You can sign up and use it for free or pay a small fee and get the advanced services. It also has guided lessons to tell you all about temping, charting, cervix position and mucous and all sorts of other stuff. It will tell you what day you ovulated based on the data you enter. It needs about 3 months of data before it gets good at predicting stuff though. I suggest you start there.

Good luck!

Agree, join fertility friend, its very easy to use.

Buy yourself a BBT digital thermometer from the chemist with 2 decimal places, take your temp at the same time every day - before you get out of bed/as soon as you wake up. Enter your temps into the spreadsheet on Fertility Friend including your cervical mucas dry/creamy/egg white etc and it will help you pin point your fertile days and then by your temps will tell you the day you ovulated.

Feel free to pm me anytime if you have any questions.... I've been charting mine for over 2 years now. Goodluck!

Hi

Feathergirl & Craftymum have given you some great advice here - :iagree: with them about FF.

Also, further back here there's a thread "are you charting your BBT? Come Chat..." - there's lots of explantions & methods there as well.

Good luck with it all - once you've done it for a couple of cycles & see a pattern it can give you a good feeling of control over things.

Best wishes :flowerz:
